Manchester City name 5 man shortlist should Pellegrini take over

Manchester City fans will be rubbing their hands together should the board appoint Manuel Pellegrini as he has handed the chiefs a list of five big money transfers that he wants to follow him into the club, should he become gaffer, say the Daily Star.

Top of the list, as we all know, is Isco who has played under Pellegrini at Malaga for a number of years. The deal is believed to be in the region of £17m + Spanish youth international Denis Suarez going the other way although the Spanish club could be holding out for £25m cash deal as a result of their poor financial situation.

Another name on the list is Borussia Dortmund superstar Marco Reus, but whether or not the Germany international would be open to a switch or whether City would stump up the £32m that is being touted is another question.

    Stop being stingy, City!

The other names on the shortlist are Real Madrid's Angel 'Noodle' Di Maria and a Seville double Jesus Navas and Geoffrey Kondogbia. The signings would provide some needed width to the club as the likes of Scott Sinclair depart, but also some muscle, in fact a lot of muscle, in the shape of Kondogbia in the defensive midfield role.

Starting to get over the sacking of Mancini yet, Citizens?
