Ben Arfa in Tottenham talks after he angers local Newcastle fans (video)

It is being reported today that Andre Villas-Boas is already in talks to secure a deal for Newcastle United star Hatem Ben Arfa.

The Frenchman has found life difficult  in Tyneside this season after successive hamstring injuries have limited his time on the pitch, but with his gas tank returning to full and Newcastle  plummeting down the league quicker than Alan Pardew signed his eight-year contract Ben Arfa is expected to make the switch in the summer.

Newcastle currently sit in 17th place, just a handful of points above the drop zone, whereas Spurs' brilliant season sees them in with a shout of a top three finish.

However, a major factor in Ben Arfa's potential move to north London is his fascination of his hometown team Paris Saint Germain. The 26-year-old has adored the club since a boy and is on the back of today's SUN after upsetting Toon supporters by wearing a PSG training kit to his local gym.

Newcastle fans have been far from happy of late and this seems to be another opportunity to let their frustrations out.

One man who witnessed Ben Arfa's truly outrageous stunt *cough* had this to say: "Ben Arfa was laughing and joking with two French pals in the weights room — he didn’t seem to have a care in the world.”

Now, if you were earning hundreds of thousands of pounds per week and hadn't started a game since December of last year, do you not think you would be laughing too?
