5 players worth buying from relegated Queens Park Rangers

Few had Queens Park Rangers down as a candidate for a relegation fight before a ball had been kicked this season. Mark Hughes' poor start to the Premier League season saw confidence completely wiped out of the team and he was relieved of his duties with the club in turmoil.

In came former West Ham, Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry 'Houdini' Redknapp to miraculously aid their escape from the bottom of the league. Harry did what he does best and spend a mega amount of money on players with big reputations.

Tens of millions of pounds later and the Rs were still rock bottom of the league with almost zero chance of retaining their Premier League status.

Locked in a battle with Reading, Wigan, Aston Villa and more recently Newcastle, fans of the Loftus Road club gave up all hope and surrendered defeat. Their relegation was confirmed with a 0-0 draw at Reading, which subsequently relegated the home side also, and the supporters are now worried about the collapse of their club.

Here we look at five players who will almost certainly be leaving the club for higher ground, both for personal ambitions and to help the club revoke some of the money paid out in the first place.

To whet your whistle, here is a clip of Park Ji Sung, who has won the Loftus Road faithful over with his tireless hard work, his passing ability and his willingness to muck in and help sort out problems in other areas of the field.
