Son Heung-Min: The striker wanted by Chelsea and United (Video)

It may be the middle of February, but clubs across the continent are believed to be lining up their summer signings, regardless. With it, Chelsea and Manchester United are rumoured to be interested in Hamburg striker Son Heung-Min.

The young South Korea international already has himself nine goals in 21 games for the Bundesliga side and such a return for the 20-year-old, who often operates on the wing, is an impressive return. While United may not need another striker at present, such is the options available to Sir Alex Ferguson, Chelsea would be wise to consider a move for Son.

While Demba Ba may've only signed in January, the continuous poor form of Fernando Torres is a cause for concern. With just 15 goals in 43 games in all competitions, Blues fans are regularly doubting whether he is the man to lead the frontline.

With the creative talents of Victor Moses, Juan Mata and Eden Hazard behind him, any striker could've found the back of the net on a consistent basis, but not Torres. He may've cost £50m back in 2011, but it may well be time for owner Roman Abramovich to bite the bullet and realise the former Atletico ace was an expensive mistake.

Reports suggest he'll be shown the exit door in the summer and if that is the case, Chelsea could do a lot worse than invest in the Hamburg frontman. His age means he'll only get better and with his versatility, Son could become a vital asset to the Blues in the foreseeable future.
