Gareth Bale - A player who in the last few months been slaughtered for diving, but also commended as a better player than the runner-up in the Ballon d'Or award, Cristiano Ronaldo. The comments show just how fickle the British public can be, but also just how widespread the opinion of the Welsh winger really are.

The 23-year-old is on the way to the very top and will likely receive numerous awards when the campaign comes to a climax. If Jose Mourinho and the Real Madrid board get their way, then Bale and Ronaldo will be taking it in turns to dazzle the world in the all-white jersey in the Spanish capital, which is something many want to witness.

However, if the rest of us get our way then Bale will spend the rest of his days in the Premier League, whether it be with Tottenham, or the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City or Chelsea, who have all had their beady eyes on the former Southampton man.

Let's hope so, but watching this video has higlighted for me what I've always thought - he has teammates making great runs ahead of him all the time, but always chooses to go on himself instead of picking the better option and keeps the ball bogged down in midfield for way too long itstead of releasing the killer pass.Also, he needs to stay on the left - the free role thing isn't doing it for me.
