    Mancini should reconsider Victor

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has today played down talk of making a summer move for Celtic's midfielder Victor Wanyama.

The 21-year-old Kenyan has been at the heart of Celtic's Champions League campaign that has seen them reach the knockout stages.

Wanyama joined the Scottish champions back in 2011 from Belgian outfit Beerschot AC for a reported £900,000.

Since arriving at Celtic Park he has managed 12 goals in 79 appearances - 'Not too Xabi' for a defensive midfielder.

Despite Mancini playing down these rumours, Wanyama would be a good signing for a team that despite having so many midfielders, seems to be lacking any real fight in the middle of the park.

In recent transfer windows, it has been rumoured that City rivals Manchester United have been keeping tabs on the midfielder. After some sensational displays over the year for Celtic, it won't be too long until there's a chase reminiscent of last years 'Modric Saga' for the young Kenyan international.
