    Air Ronaldo (Video)

It is a sign of how good Cristiano Ronaldo's header was on Wednesday night that everybody is talking about it more than the actual result.

In another life, Ronaldo could have easily been a basketball player. The Portuguese superstar is such an incredible athlete that whilst his equalising header against his former club Manchester United is a thing of beauty, it doesn't come as a massive surprise as this is a player that exceeds and excels at the highest level.

The goalscoring record is ridiculous and if he wasn't playing in the same era as a certain diminutive Argentine then it would Ronaldo with all the Ballon d'Or's he could carry.

What's even more astounding is that Madrid did not make more of their first half dominance by scoring more goals. As it stands, United look the stronger going into the second leg of the Champions League tie at Old Trafford in three weeks time.

Sir Alex Ferguson will be concerned by the fact that Madrid had nearly 30 shots on goal during the game and if David De Gea had not decided that Wednesday night was his coming out party then United would have been looking at overturning a four or five goal deficit.

As long as there is more exciting attacking play, and gravity defying headers of course, in the second leg then we will all be happy.
