Stephan El Shaarawy: Signing a new deal is Arsenal & City's loss (Video)

Whenever a player excels for club and country across the continent, no matter their age, interest in said player expectantly rises significantly. It's no surprise, in that case, to see a number of Europe's heavyweights linked with a move for AC Milan's Stephan El Shaarawy, most notably Arsenal and Manchester City.

The young Italian, nicknamed Il Farone, has continuously dazzled his admirers at the San Siro this term and has recently emerged as a cornerstone in the Italy attacking line, netting his first goal for the senior side during the recent friendly win over France. Furthermore, he has since formed a third of the Milan attacking trident with Mario Balotelli and M'Baye Niang, aptly dupped the 'Three Mohicans'.

As such, the Premier League, amongst others, have been credited with an interest in El Shaarawy, only to have seen their hopes of signing him dashed by reports that suggest the 20-year-old is set to sign a new deal with the Rossoneri in the foreseeable future.

It will come as a bow to any team tracking the young striker, with his outstanding ability on the ball and easiness of beating a defender for pace, coupled with his striking prowess, likely to have come as an asset to any team that may've been lucky enough to snare The Pharaoh away from the San Siro.
