If Lampard leaves Chelsea, he should move to LA

While it remains uncertain whether Frank Lampard's Chelsea stay will be extended beyond the summer, the possibility of him leaving is becoming increasingly likely with each passing day, whether Blues fans want to admit it so or not.

Manchester United have been credited with an interest, while Everton have also been linked, but reports on Wednesday have instead suggested that Robbie Keane has welcomed the possibility of the midfielder moving to LA Galaxy.

Since the departure of David Beckham last year, the MLS side still have room for another 'designated' player in their squad - one that isn't part of the stringent wage laws in the game in America.

With Keane and Landan Donovan take up two of three spots, there is room for one more and that player should be Lampard. At 34-years-old, the Chelsea stalwart is likely to earn one more big money pay cheque before his scintillating career comes to an end.

If that's to be the case, a final footballing farewell in Hollywood could be the right move for Lampard, while of course penning the ultimate 'Frankie Goes To Hollywood' headline. His name would only propel the name of the MLS to upper echelons, especially with Beckham providing the platform for the game to build and grow.
