West Ham: Drop Nolan, Play Two Up Front and Inject Some Pace Into The Side Against Liverpool

West Ham fell to a 1-0 loss at home to Premier League strugglers Crystal Palace this week and now travel to Liverpool in an attempt to stifle the Reds' superstars. Luis Suarez scored four and assisted one in their win at Norwich this week and will be confident of easing past the Hammers, so here are three things the capital club need to do to have a chance of winning the game.

Although they have been playing without a striker recently, I would suggest that they need to play two up top. It may seem silly to ask that of Sam Allardyce, but it worked when Hull played, and beat Liverpool, last week. Perhaps Carlton Cole up top with Ravel Morrison floating around him could work.

Secondly, if West Ham inject some pace into their play then they could hit the Anfield club on the break. Steven Gerrard, Joe Allen and Lucas Leiva aren't the quickest of players, so if Allardyce can deploy a midfield to give them the run around then they have every chance.

Lastly, I would drop Kevin Nolan. He was woeful against Palace and this is the sort of fixture that he has been known to be completely overrun in.

In conclusion: Play two up top, inject some pace and drop Nolan to have a chance of beating Liverpool.
