After witnessing some incredible attacking play this season in the Premier League, I thought that I would take a look at the leaders in terms of assists.

1) Wayne Rooney - Manchester United

The United and England forward played a clever ball to Ashley Young yesterday which allowed the winger to whip it into the top corner. The assist puts him top of the pile with eight after his 15 games.

2) Mesut Ozil - Arsenal

The German has been sensational for the Gunners for most of his early career in north London and has made seven Premier League assists in just 13 appearances. He is line to make his 14th outing of the league season tomorrow against Chelsea.

3) Aaron Ramsey - Arsenal

The Wales international has been a revelation this season and has impressed us with his scoring, but his passing has been impressive also. He has claimed six assists so far.

4) Steven Gerrard - Liverpool

The Liverpool skipper has been playing from a deeper role this season but has still managed to rack up six assists, which is impressive to say the least.

5) Pablo Zabaleta - Manchester City

The right-back has been given a free role to attack down the right and it's proved a positive decision. The Argentina international has five assists to his name so far this term.
