Nasri Showing Massive Improvements Under Pellegrini - The Stats

Last season saw Manchester City hand the Premier League title back to Sir Alex Ferguson and back to Manchester United, thanks to some overall dismal performances. One man who left a sour taste in the mouths was Samir Nasri, as he failed to live up to the billing of the previous season, but that has changed considerably since the start of this campaign.

The little Frenchman has been impeccable this time round under new manager Manuel Pellegrini and looks to be enjoying the way the new City side are setting up.

Last season was one of frustration for Nasri but he still managed to rack up an impressive 53 key passes, which was bettered by only Carlos Tevez and David Silva. He scored just twice though, and was largely overshadowed by the other attacking units at the club.

This season, though, he has already scored four goals in his 13 appearances and everything he tries looks to be coming off. He's also created 29 key passes, which is currently the most from the entire first team squad.

His pass accuracy stands at 90%, his shooting at 80% and he's also won 19 of the 25 take ons that he has attempted this season, all of which deserve huge credit.

Nasri is ticking along nicely this season and is flourishing under the new management. Should it continue then City have every chance of winning the title come May, in my opinion.
