Italian Clubs Fighting For Their Lives in the Champions League

With the loss from Juventus yesterday, sending the Italian club out of the Champions League, it seems as if the remaining Italian clubs are fighting for their survival as well today in the last match day. AC Milan are playing Ajax, both clubs are only separated by one point in group h. While Napoli are playing Arsenal, Napoli are currently tied with Boruissa Dortmund in the middle of the table on 9 points. All matches are being played in Italy however, so both clubs have home field advantage.

In group f, Arsenal have already made it through to the knockout stages, but Napoli still have a tough match ahead of them. Whatever has gotten into Arsenal, I hope they can share it because not only are they dominating in the Premier League but they comfortably qualified for the knockout stages of the Champions League. Napoli will really have to dig deep if they want to advance, they have the talent, hopefully today they can really bring it and defeat Arsenal with enough goals needed to advance.

In group H, Barcelona are currently in the lead with 10 points, this group was pretty difficult as well. AC Milan are playing Ajax and are in desperate need of a win if they hope to advance to the next round. It can be done in my opinion, in fact AC Milan have a better chance of managing a win than Napoli does, unfortunately.

I am sorry to see that that all Italian clubs had to fight for their lives in this year’s Champions League group stages; I am a huge fan of Serie A as well as both of these clubs. But, we won’t find out the results until today’s matches are finished, so right now, anything is still possible.
