MLS Bound? Why Letting Eto'o Leave Might Not Be A Bad Idea

When Samuel Eto'o arrived at Stamford Bridge in the summer Chelsea fans were rightly excited. The Cameroon legend had represented some of the biggest clubs in Europe and has scored a shed load of goals, but his best days seem behind him and he's struggled to find his feet at the club. Now as we approach the end of the year it seems as though the striker has other things on his mind, as the Telegraph report that he is thinking about a move to the MLS in the summer. But would he be missed?

He's scored just twice this season and in most games he's provided no real threat. His performances have looked brighter of late but he still isn't cutting the mustard in west London and the Blues fans are starting to grow tired.

For me, Chelsea should be looking to offload two of their three forwards - probably Torres and Ba - in the new year to make space for a world beater, perhaps in the shape of Radamel Falcao or Diego Costa.

Then, in the summer when the season is done, Romelu Lukaku is returning and there will be room alongside him and whoever they pick up in the new year, if they do, with Eto'o going to the MLS.

Make sense? Good. It's not that bad of an idea, in my opinion.
