5 Things We Learned From Tottenham 2-2 Manchester United

Tottenham entertained Manchester United this afternoon in a clash that ended 2-2. Here are five things that we learned from the fixture at White Hart Lane.

      1) Rooney is on fire

The former Everton man is flourishing under the guidance of David Moyes this season and struck his seventh and eighth Premier League goal in his 12th outing. He also attempted nine crosses, made four clearances and won both of his tackles.

      2) Spurs' passing needs to improve

The north London side made only 212 passes during the tie which equates to a 72% pass success, while United completed 369 of their 454 attempted (81%). There looked to be a spark missing from their distribution.

      3) Draw was a fair result

The two sides were matched in almost every area of the pitch this afternoon - They had the same amount of corners, made the same amount of interceptions and Spurs only had two more attempts at goal than United.

      4) Sandro is a beast

The Brazilian had a shaky outing against Manchester City last weekend but was in top form at White Hart Lane this time round. He got on the scoresheet and made four interceptions, won two headers and won 100% of his tackles.

      5) Spurs strikers still struggling

Both Roberto Soldado were presented with some game time this afternoon but again they failed to hit the back of the net. Defoe is still to score in the Premier League this season and Soldado has scored just once from open play.
