Why Arsenal Should Be Doing Everything In Their Power To Sign Manchester United Forward

The case of Javier Hernandez is certainly a strange one. While most of the country recognises that the Mexican forward guarantees you goals, he still can't wrangle his way in front of Wayne Rooney or Robin van Persie in the Manchester United firing line. Probably because they also offer a shed-load of goals, but it seems that Chicharito may finally get a switch away from the Old Trafford bench.

The Daily Mail are reporting that Arsenal are interested in the services of the 25-year-old, and in my eyes that is a move that Arsene Wenger and the Gunners board should be doing everything in their power to make happen.

Hernandez scored 10 goals last season in minimal playing time, in fact - he scored the same amount of goals last season as Daniel Sturridge did at Liverpool in less time, and look how the latter is getting on now with increased game time.

The problem with Hernandez is the fact that he offers little else but goals. He isn't the best at holding up the ball, nor can he connect with the midfield effectively, but with the likes of Mesut Ozil, Santi Cazorla and even Aaron Ramsey right now he wouldn't have to.

Olivier Giroud needs a striker to keep him on his toes and to replace him when his legs get tired, and I for one can't see a better player to get the north London side goals than the little pea - who has scored 34 league goals in 81 bit-part games for United.
