10 Things We Have Learnt From Chelsea This Season

After 10 Premier League games I have a look at 10 things that we have learnt from Chelsea.

    1) Mourinho is not the happy one

On arrival in the summer he dismissed the nickname of the special one and insisted he was the happy one, but he has thrown so many strops over the last few months that it makes the claim laughable.

    2) Torres still isn't what he was

The Spaniard has scored once this season and is still looking a shell of his former self when he was at Liverpool.

    3) Mourinho takes no rubbish

Eden Hazard missed a training session last week and as a result he was left out of their Champions League clash with Schalke. Don't mess with Mourinho.

    4) Terry is still captain fantastic

Having missed most of last season, Terry is back in full swing. He has played all 10 Premier League games and won a huge 72% of his duels, which includes 39/53 of his headers. He has averaged 10 defensive actions per game and completed 92% of his passes.

    5) Lampard still has gas in the tank

Super Frank is still going strong, albeit from a slightly deeper role. Like Terry, Lampard has been involved in all 10 games this season, creating 10 chances and scoring once.

    6) The Blues are title challengers

Chelsea sit second in the league, and although there is a long way to go they have all the ingredients for a title challenge.

    7) Ramires is a diamond

The Brazilian has been brilliant again this term, winning 84% of his tackles, completing 85% of his passes and creating 13 chances. He has also scored a few in Europe.

    8) Luiz is a calamity

We all knew before, but sticking Luiz in at centre-back leaves a lot of problems. Benitez played him in midfield last season to ensure that any mistakes were covered, but it hasn't been the case this season.

    9) Essien's future looks in doubt

Although he has played in the cups, Essien is still to make an appearance in the Premier League and has a huge wealth of players to compete with for a spot.

    10) Mourinho doesn't care about reputations

As well as leaving Juan Mata out for numerous games, he has also left Kevin de Bruyne and Cesar Aspilicueta after sterling seasons last time out.
