Arsenal and Chelsea Ready To Fight Over Bundesliga Ace With 86% Pass Accuracy - Statistics

There have been numerous transfer dealings between Arsenal and Chelsea in the past. The likes of Ashley Cole, William Gallas and Nicolas Anelka have all played for both, but they are now set to go to battle, according to the Daily Star, for Bundesliga starlet Julian Draxler. But just how good is he?

In his 30 appearances in the German topflight last season the young Germany international created 45 opportunities for his colleagues, claiming three assists. He won 60% of his duels, including 79/127 of his take ons.

His shot accuracy stood at 78% while he completed 82% of his passes. Draxler is an attacking midfielder who can play in the hole or on either flank, using his creativity to open defences with ease. While both Chelsea and Arsenal hold a huge number of attacking outlets Draxler's brilliance would demand him a place in either side. Or so you would have thought. Juan Mata springs to mind.

So far this season he has created six opportunities, averaged two defensive actions per game and won 63% of his duels.

I hope he gets a move to the Premier League. He's a wonderful talent and a joy to watch, and I hope one of the London clubs get their mitts on the young playmaker.

We have some aging midfielders, such as Arteta and Rosicky. But, I feel it won't neccesary for us to land another midfielder this January. So, he might go to Chelsea who always get playes they want. Maybe we can get Mata after that. But again, we don't realy need him this time and I think there's not enough budget as Arsene put a world class striker and one CB in his priority this January.
