Manchester United Could Use Kagawa In Swap Deal For Dortmund Ace

Manchester United fans have been left frustrated this season in regards to the playing time of Shinji Kagawa. David Moyes doesn't seem to rate the Japan international, or at least it seems that way, and he's hardly had a sniff of action all season. However, the playmaker may be out of the club sooner rather than later, as Portuguese sources are suggesting that he will be used in a swap deal with Borussia Dortmund, with Neven Subotic coming the other way.

Kagawa has played just one league game this season and had a fine run out. He created two chances and  hit the target with 100% of his shots. He has won 100% of his duels, as well as completing 85% of his chances.

Switching over to the man supposedly coming the other way. Subotic has been part of Dortmund's defence for some time now and formed an impeccable partnership with Mats Hummels.

So far this season the 24-year-old has played six Bundesliga games and won 62% of his duels. He has averaged seven defensive actions per game.

He would be a brilliant replacement for Rio Ferdinand, who hasn't got long left, and release the shackles that Kagawa has found himself in since his arrival at Old Trafford.

Why Moyes doesn't use Kagawa nobody knows but he should listen to the fans and look at the stats of the lad give him a run in the team and still get a replacement for Rio in January

yeah kagawa is a world class player and is proven... fergie rated him and I think if he played kagawa in midfield would be perfect. Moyes too defensive and thats not manchester united.

I think the Stats in this article are very dubious and I don't they are legitimate. clearly Kagawa has had a couple of chances this season but hasn't really shown the form he is capable of.

Kagawa's problem is, his best position is where Wayne Rooney is playing and to play him in midfield would mean playing without wingers and having a midfield 3 in the centre of the pitch because he doesn't do enough defensively. alternatively he can be played play him on the left... which he is accustomed to (both for United and Japan) but he is not a winger so it's not something that will have great success consistently.

As for SAF liking him, that's obvious but he was bought to play behind Wayne but united then bought RVP when he became available and that meant his position behind the striker is going to be taken by Wayne.

SAF played Kagawa on the left more times than through the middle.

Kagawa is a good player but is he better than Rooney?

No Kagawa is not as good as Rooney but Rooney is playing out of his skin maybe after transfer in January if he gets it then Kagawa could be the man to take his role behind RVP

Trade Nani, Young, Anderson and Evans for Subotic. Kagawa is a gem and Moyes needs to play him in a 4-4-2 lineup with Rooney and Van Persie up top!
Removing from the TEAM the four above listed players would be a positive...Subotic would be an additional positive.
