3 Reasons Rooney Should Ditch The Sinking Ship At Manchester United And Join Chelsea

With reports from the Metro suggesting that Chelsea will rekindle their interest in Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney this January with a £35m offer, here are three reasons why Rooney should take up the potential offer.

1) 1st choice

Although Rooney is first choice at Old Trafford right now because of his form, Robin van Persie will be the number one until he leaves or retires. The Dutchman is prolific in front of goal and Rooney will have to deal with sitting just behind him or pushing wide if he is available.

That wouldn't be the case at Stamford Bridge, where Jose Mourinho has only Fernando Torres, Samuel Eto'o and, err, Damba Ba. Rooney would be the main man in the attack.

2) Sinking ship

With the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson Manchester United look a completely different side. The fight looks as though it had gone, the urgency in their play has vanished and they are struggling against the lesser clubs in the league.

Stoke collapsed under the pressure last weekend but things could have been much worse for United, and Moyes, should Hernandez not have popped up with a winner.

Chelsea look as though they will be real contenders under Mourinho.

3) Ammo

Lets keep it simple. As a forward, would you rather be playing in front of Marouane Fellaini, Tom Cleverley and Anderson, or Juan Mata, Eden Hazard and Oscar? I thought so.

Clearly a post by a Chelsea fan. Your views are so biased that you don't even give logical explanations to tell us why.

1)Rooney has been allowed to have more say in the strike partnership. He has been taking more corners and free kicks compared to last season and from I've seen, he's been enjoying his time. Sure he could be leaving for Chelsea, but it wont be because of playing second fiddle but for the money or a change of scenery.

2)How long have you guys waited to see United's demise that after one managerial change a string of bad games, you guys have labelled it a sinking ship? Ferguson took time to reshake a team and put them on a winning streak as well. It took him time and sure enough Moyes can do the same. Give it a season or more to actually determine if this is a sinking ship or not. Thus making your argument moot.

3)You have compared 3 defensive midfielders with 3 attack minded midfielders. Like seriously? Have you even done your research? What about Adnan? Nani? Zaha? Adnan and Zaha being the future of this club and definitely much more talented than most youngsters in the first division today.

Reasons on why he should stay?
1) Cuz the fans have accepted him back even when he dares to leave and gets a fat paycheck.Its only right he pays them back.
2) Contrary to popular opinion, its not a sinking ship but the start to something legendary. United slump seasons are usually followed by a dominating season.
3) Dont have to worry about the Russian sugar daddy buying you and then forgetting you when he gets the next big thing.
