Arsenal and Chelsea looking at midfielder with 5 goals in 8 games, but where would he fit in?

There is already looking like a small pack of sides who are breaking away from the rest at the top of the Premier League. Of course, you can't win a league title within the first few months of a season, but you can certainly lose one. Should Manchester United lose this weekend then it leaves them a huge distance away from the leaders. The three at the top are Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool, and it's the former two that the Express are linking with Hellas Verona star Jorginho. But where would he fit in?

The 21-year-old is a midfield player who thrives in the central roles, something which neither side are in desperate need of reinforcing. In fact, you could argue that they are already overstocked in that area  - with Arsenal possessing Aaron Ramsey, Jack Wilshere, Santi Cazorla, Mesut Ozil, Mathieu Flamini and Tomas Rosicky, and Chelsea holding Michael Essien, Ramires, Jon Obi Mikel, and a host of attacking options.

Jorginho has the mindset of an Italian and the technique of a South American - full of flair and panache but the tactical brilliance of a steely old Serie A side.

He has scored five goals in eight games this season and completed 85% of his passes, and the box-to-box attribute he holds so highly makes him an ideal partner for Ramires at Chelsea. The Blues operate with Frank Lampard, but he doesn't have the legs to compliment the Brazilian.

Arsenal play with Flamini as the anchor and Ramsey and Wilshere pushing forward to support the likes of Mesut Ozil and Santi Cazorla.

The energy that Jorginho provides would make him a fine asset for either side, but in my eyes Chelsea would be a perfect fit.
