Is This Midfielder With Six Assists In Eight Games The Man Manchester United Need?

When Mesut Ozil signed for Arsenal on deadline day, Arsene Wenger will have seen it as a signing of intent. It would have sent a real message to the likes of Jose Mourinho and especially David Moyes, who struggled to sign anybody. While Marouane Fellaini was snapped up, there is still a gaping hole in the Manchester United midfield.

While I think it can be filled by Japan international Shinji Kagawa, Moyes doesn't seem a fan. While Michael Carrick provides the composure, the technique and the defensive cover, Mouarane Fellaini is the physical presence and the driving force. But they are in need of an energetic, creative force who connects the midfield to attack.

Which, as I mentioned, I see as Kagawa. But forgetting about the former Borussia Dortmund midfielder, I think I have found another who can provide that.

Atletico Madrid's Koke has been incredible this season, and is one of the most fitting midfielders for United, in my eyes.

So far this season he has claimed six assists and scored two himself in just eight games - which Atleti have won all of -  and he has completed 85% of his passes.

He has played 307 passes so far, made 22 key passes and had 11 shots at goal.

He has a brilliant enthusiasm about him and buzzes around th pitch, while threading beautiful passes through defences.

Could this be the man to solidify United's midfield?
