Thierry Henry doing what he (still) does best (Video)

Thierry Henry going to the MLS was always a little bit like the 16-year-old kid going off to play football in an under 13s league.

Admittedly, everyone knows he's largely in it for the money and lost a bit of interest, but the talent is still there and when it's displayed those MLS defences have pretty much no chance.

The standard of football makes 2012 Henry look like 2006 Henry and that probably suits him just fine.

However, this double he scored against Columbus Crew for the New York Red Bulls can hardly be attributed to slack defending.

The first, if you see a better touch to take a long ball down this year you'll have done very well. The touch is simply sublime before giving the keeper the eyes and tucking the ball home.

The second, there is always something of the fluke about scoring direct from a corner but the fact that it came off the outside post and in means Henry was aiming for that and, well, have a look yourself.

Form is temporary and all that.
