AVB slaughtered for picking in form players. (Video)

Spurs manager AVB has come under unnecessary fire throughout the infant Premier League campaign so far. Spurs have played 4: Drawn 2, Lost 1 and most recently Won 1. They've scored in every game and now sit dead centre of the league. Not too bad really considering they've just got a new manager, they've sold 2 of their best players of last season and have transfer dealed themselves into a pickle of only 2 recognizable strikers. Not to mention the talents of Dembele and Dempsey new in the ranks.

Tottenham currently boast the talent of Brad Friedel as their first choice between the posts, the man who has made over 300 consecutive Premier League appearances. Now we all know his quality and how it's come to be that he has attained this record. So how dare AVB not select his reserve goal keeper ahead of him? How dare he leave Hugo Lloris on the bench?

The whole fiasco is a load of tosh.

If Hugo Lloris wasn't happy to sit on the bench behind a proven player, then why move to a club such as Tottenham? Why didn't he move to another club who's first choice Goalkeeper isn't also his National Team's number 1? In my eye's he's lucky to be on the bench at all as Carlo Cudicini is also a class act.

The evidence is plain and simple, the Frenchman is just going to have to wait his turn or out perform the American in training.

Give AVB a break - Give him time to teach his ways and for crying out loud Hugo - Man Up!

Brad knew at the start of the season we were going to sign Lloris and openly said he was happy to be a squad player.

Then the press (after 2 good games from Brad) created this non story.

Lloris is the better keeper and imo will be No.1 within 2 months.

Oh and BTW op, Brad Friedel has not played for the US for some time now.

Great clippings of Brad Friedel. Point taken -- I guess Lloris can wait a while.

Also, AFAIAA Lloris has said nothing derogitory, just that he is willing to fight for his place.

You are giving too much credence to a fabricated story that was made by a few psople with an agenda trying to provoke a reaction from the France manager.

He is the only one in this story really.

    Friedel, A true professional.
Lloris can't afford one stupid mistake. That is were the pressure comes from.

Brads problem is can his body stay super fit for another 8 months.
