    France vs Spain

    Brad Smith -

Dan Whiteway- France 0-2 Spain It's incredible how much a defeat can change the makeup of a team. On Monday, France were unbeaten in 23 games and looking formidable. One insipid loss to Sweden and the cracks have emerged that were visible in World Cup 2010; talk of splits in the dressing room and players wanting to go home have been rife. Adversity can inspire indeed inspire but for a team who's attack is considerably better than their defence which is not the balance you want against Spain. Spain themselves haven't looked like their 2008 vintage but they haven't done for three years but they've still been the best team in the world. They'll get an early goal and then snatch another late on.

Paul Hill - France 1-1 Spain. Something tells me that this will be a close match. Karim Benzema has looked sharp so far this tournament, evident in the fact that he has had the most shots in the competition without finding the net. He is due a goal and should get a number of good chances against an average Spanish back-line. However, this will be cancelled out by the World Champions, who in turn will look to keep their normal majority share of possession whilst failing to penetrate the Les Blues reaguard. As for who will win the penalty shoot out.....toss a coin.

    Scott Balaam -

Ben McAleer - France 1-2 Spain France came into the tournament as dark horses and the loss to Sweden would've hampered their chances of progressing to the last four. Spain weren't all too convincing against Croatia and looked suspect defensively, but have enough about them to break down the French. A 2-1 win for the current holders with 'False 9' Cesc Fabregas to opening the scoring.
