Is Pep The Messi-ng Link

Pep Guardiola is the world’s most sought after manager but could getting him in the dugout be a good piece of business for more than his coaching skills?

Guardiola has spent his whole career, managerial and as a player, at Spanish giants Barcelona leaving him pretty well placed with all the right people at the Nou Camp.

There is one Barcelona superstar Pep holds a particularly good relationship with, Lionel Messi. The Spaniard managed the Argentine during his meteoric rise to the record breaking player that he now is.

Chelsea, Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Paris St Germain are all sniffing around the managerial bachelor and bringing in the man with Barcelona running through his veins could be a direct link to a pool of Catalonian talent including little Lionel Messi.

Although Messi has just signed a new contract at the Nou Camp, with a whopping €320 million buyout clause, surely he would find it a difficult decision to leave the club he has won all his honours with to work with the manager that has made him the player he is.

Nice short Article, but Pep has said 2 things:

1. He wants to win titles without the Barça players - i.e. showing that he can win titles with any other team/players etc, etc

2. Apparently he also found it difficult to discipline players, who were like his 'sons'

But overall not a bad article.
