Neymar would be right to snub Chelsea and United

When football fans mention prodigious youngsters, Neymar is likely to crop up in any conversation. The Santos youngster is a player that grasps the attention of any watching the game, with the 20-year-old capable of producing a moment of magic in the blink of an eye.

He is one of those players that, with the ball at his feet and a sparkle in his eye, will have supporters on the edge of their seats eagerly in anticipation as to what could be coming next. It is these performances that have the watching world stand up and take notice of the youngster, who despite his young age, recently made his 200th appearance for Santos.

Many have tipped him to follow in the footsteps of Brazil legend Pele, of course without remaining with the Peixe for a majority of his career, with the great man himself tipping him as his natural heir to the Brazilian throne.

Justifiably, many a team across Europe have been keeping tabs on Neymar, with the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester United and Chelsea all mooted as potential destinations for the youngster.

With the player himself confirming that he wants to stay in Brazil until the culmination of the 2014 World Cup, it is unlikely that Neymar will be departing Santos any time within the next 18 months. Nevertheless, it hasn’t halted rumours of a potential move away from the club.

As it remains, Barcelona remain the front runners in the race for his signature. Rumours were abound earlier this week that the player himself had confirmed he wants to play for the Catalan giants in the future, reports that Santos instantaneously denied.

However, with the Blaugrana the most likely destination for the Brazil international with reports suggesting a pre-contract had already been agreed that would see Neymar arrive at the Camp Nou upon the culmination of the 2014 World Cup.

Furthermore, it has seen speculation hint that the La Liga outfit would be prepared to sell Alexis Sanchez, who arrived from Udinese last summer, in order to fund a deal for the 20-year-old.

To be fair to Neymar, a move to either Barcelona or Real Madrid would be better suited to the youngster. His technical capabilities render him perfect for the Spanish game, a facet that would be wasted in the Premiership.

While the likes of Chelsea and United have looked to bring in players of Neymar’s ilk over the last 18 months, in the form of Juan Mata, Eden Hazard and Shinji Kagawa, one is of the opinion that his capabilities wouldn’t be fully utilised by the Premier League giants.

In comparison to La Liga, with the slower game and higher emphasis on individual skill, it is more than likely Neymar will flourish in Spain in comparison to England. His playing style is far better suited to the Primera Division rather than that of England.

It is more than likely football fans will be seeing Neymar in Spain rather than England in the foreseeable future, regardless of what Santos have claimed. It’s a shame, but fans are of the opinion that he would be better suited for the technically superior La Liga ahead of the rigorous Premiership.

What was the point in writing this?

Players like Villa, Ibrahimovich, Henry, Fabregas, Sanchez etc never got any better in Barca coz barca treat only Messi and their youth and rest is an exception! Neymar should chose Chelsea ..
