Young football nation making waves (Video)

Montenegro has only existed as a footballing country since 2007.  They started life as the joint 199^th best team in the world (bottom).  Since then they have made rapid improvements and are in position to cause what could be a potentially devastating upset in the World Cup Qualifiers.

The team has come a long way since 2007 and now sit in an impressive 44^th place in the FIFA rankings.  More worryingly for England fans, they sit 1 point behind the three lions in 2^nd place in World Cup qualifying.  They have a game in hand and their next game is against San Marino.  With all due respect to San Marino, this means that after 4 games, Montenegro will top the group. 

Although they are yet to play England at all and there is a long way to go, it certainly remains true that Montenegro are proving to be the surprise package so far.  An impressive away win in Ukraine and a draw against Poland show that Montenegro do have the quality to finish at least second.
