Divers punished with tarnished rep. (Video)

Brendan Rodgers has today said that he fears for Luis Suarez and his reputation as a 'diver'.

Well Brendan I am sorry to say it, but surely Luis saw this coming? How did he ever expect to be taken seriously when he has built up this reputation himself?

Luis Suarez was this past weekend denied a clear penalty after being tumbled over in the box at Carrow Rd. The referee waved play on and left Suarez incensed.

Does this highlight another requirement for video technology in football? Rodgers could have called a review and the referee given the opportunity to change his mind? Is this taking it too far?

Referee Mike Jones had a decision to make on Saturday and after review and replays by many media hacks, its clear he got it wrong - but did he get it wrong because of his view on the day or because of the reputation of the player in question?

Whatever the reason, diving and cheating (which is what it is) needs to be stamped out of the game. If that means that Mr Suarez and other repeat offenders have to learn to stay on their feet at the right times then that's that it takes. There is no excuse for diving, not even if it's 1-1 in the 96th minute and your dive could lead to a Championship winning penalty kick.

More managers need to take a leaf out of Alex Fergusons book - he publicy slammed Ashley Young last season for some of his Tom Daley antics.

Here is a compilation of some shocking dives! The music says it all.

When Alex ferguson himself told his players to stop diving mean a lot of divers is in MANU but you found it not important to include one in the video. If the video is not yours then put the author name.

A 2 hrs movie can be made on all wrong decision going to Manu favour. This will incite other team to cheat as cheating gave MANU many tittles. So why not.
