Arsene's summer clear out

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is ready to axe as many as 7 key players this summer, as the Emirates boss looks set to freshen up his squad. This will be the sixth season without any domestic trophy for the Gunners and Wenger is looking to sell fringe players in order to generate funds for summer targets.

Caught Offside reports that Wenger has drawn a clear out list that includes French International Gael Clichy, who appears unsettled at the Emirates with current contract negotiations drawing to a blank.

The list also includes Russian winger Andrei Arshavin, who has failed to recapture his form from his debut season and has been linked with a move back to his homeland with Zenit St Petersburg, who have declared their interest in re-signing the player.

Average seasons for Abou Diaby and Tomas Rosicky could see the pair on the chopping block too, along with  Sebastien Squillaci who has been disappointing in his debut season who has struggled to adapt to English life.

The inconsistent Manuel Almunia and versatile Emmanuel Eboue are also set for the exit door.

Very excited! Can't wait to for wenger to kick these cunts out of the club, they have no love nor passion for this beautiful club. Bendtner doesn't need to be added on the list he's off, with the rest they need to be added as they have no desire nor ambition they would happily get 80k a week and do fuck all!

Agree with the list except Emmanuel Eboue. He is a better crosser of the ball than Sagna and he could be very useful for cover. We all know that Abou Diaby is a player Arsene Wenger won't let go. Missing in the list for me is Denilson who i am afraid has not leaved up to the demand Arsene Wenge has put on him. To be fair to this player he was never suppose to be a defensive player. But he was subject to Arsene Wenger idea he could turn a player into any position he felt they will excel in e.g Gibbs, Eboue(on the right wing) all experiments.

Get rid of everyone except Vermalean, Gibbs, Song, Nasri, Wilshere, Ramsey & RVP.

Walcot has no brains, man do u know how many pull out he has bungled. phew, the shithead doesnt even look up before pulling out crosses. Eboue will stay, Diaby is in love with Wenger and we all hate his guts here, a useless fish brained footballer, that plays well in the first 10 minutes and then kills his game for the remaining part of the period, we need people tat have a passion for the club, clichy is another one that is a waster. Recently RVP has joined the list of wasters, he is greedy to score goals and most often puts his mates at disadvantage. The game against Stok is still giving me nightmares and with Manc so close on our heels anyone think we can still make CL as third best losers. Patheic.

To the original 7, one could add Bendtner and even Walcott as he does not appear to have improved much in the last 2 years. The trouble with getting rid of so many is that any resultant transfer fees coming in would be markedly reduced. We might get £6-7 million each for Clichy and Bendtner, but very little for Rosicky even from Germany. Arshavin's value is dependant on Zenit coming in for him. The max I could see would be £40 million or £80 million should Fabregas also leave. A fair total but only enough for 4-5 top-notch replacements, most of whom we would wish to be fairly experienced. Where can we find someone like Hernandez who can immediately be ready for first-team action and who would only cost about £5 million. Eziguirre at Parkhead is another who springs to mind. Finding gems like these are what our scouts are about and it seems a while since we unearthed a cracker like Fabregas.
