“My misses could have scored that…”

That was the quote used by Harry Rednapp after Darren Bent could have won the game for us a few years back against Portsmouth. So when Jermain Defoe has more than enough chances to win the game for us against West Ham on Saturday he comes out and says nothing.  I mean Harry’s wife scoring, my Nan could have scored one of those chances he missed in the first half.  Rob Green and Defoe kept West Ham in that game on Saturday, West Ham were poor and we should have won.  I was happy with the team’s performance on Saturday, I thought we played well but once again our strike force let us down.

As I’ve said before this is why we wont finish 4th.  We relied on Bale and Van der Vart to get us goals and Bale’s just coming back from injury and no doubt get injured by some crappy English player on Saturday and Van der Vart just doesn’t look fit to me, you can see him trying but it is as if his legs won’t carry him.  So I really don’t know where these goals we need are going to come from.  I mean if he’s only going to use Crouch in the Champions League he needs to give Pav a run out, he couldn’t do much worse than Jermain he’s certainly less selfish than him.  I don’t know what the solution is when your given the chances but don’t take them, what can Harry do?  Stick a rocket up his bum I say!

On a happy note, it was great to see Bale sign a new contract at the Lane, that cheered all spurs fans up after the game on Saturday.  We just need to keep Modric at the Lane now because he really is the man and he would be one BIG loss if he went next season.

Spurs rant over for the day, love em really.  Up The Spurs!
