Grayson has absolutely no Idea who to play in Goal

Leeds manager Simon Grayson is looking into bringing a keeper in any way he can following the laughable display by current number two Paul Rachubka.

Rachubka gifted Blackpool - the club he left in the summer before joining Leeds - three of their five goals as the Tangerines ran out 5 – 0 winners at Elland Road. He looked more like Frank Spencer than a professional goalkeeper as any shot that came towards him was spilled into the path of grateful Blackpool players.

Grayson said: “There’s not a lot I could say to him. He’s obviously really down but I felt I had no opportunity to keep him on. Obviously his confidence was very low.

“Do I play Paul, do I play Alex Cairns, who is a young kid, or do I go into the loan market? If we’re going to do something we’ll do it before the weekend but we’ll have to see what’s out there and if I decide to do it or not. I’ve got a good young goalkeeper in Alex Cairns. Is the game too big for him on Sunday? We’ll have to wait and see.”

It’s not very often a player does so badly that the manager looks for anyone else to take over, even an 18 year old novice, on the logic that it can’t possibly be any worse. I think it’s fair to say that the 30 year old won’t be between the sticks when Leeds travel to Leicester on Sunday.

Catch up, we brought in a loan replacement yesterday and Grayson has already said he'll start on Saturday.

    Sorry, tomorrow.
