    Bolton looking Ream

With Bolton Wanderers leaking goals each game they are in desperate need of some fresh ideas at the back. I’m convinced that Owen Coyle will strengthen and it might be at the back as well as the front.

Step forward New York Red Bulls star Tim Ream.

The no nonsense American has been targeted by a few premier league clubs after he showed throughout the MLS season his quality at the back for the bulls. Bolton face stern competition from Roy Hodgson’s West Brom who is also very keen to take the American to the Hawthorns.

With the likely departure of Gary Cahill for Bolton they will need to use the cash wisely to guarantee survival this season. Ream is looking to cost around £2 million which will be a thin slice of what the trotters get for Cahill. The major news on Ream is that he turned down the chance to join Arsenal this time last season so his ambitions may leave Bolton and West Brom with some serious persuading to do.

The big question is whether Red Bull want to let their crucial defender leave the club on loan, permanently or not at all.
