Midfield Maestro the key to United midfield?

Nicolas Gaitan is one of football’s rising stars and it’s no surprise he’s getting lots of attention. He has been heavily linked with a switch to Old Trafford and the Red Devils are keeping their eye on the Argentinean maestro.

With United’s midfield looking no more than mediocre in the centre this season maybe the silky skilled Benfica man could be the key to Manchester United’s success this season. With @noisy neighbours’ City blessed with midfielders Fergie needs to strengthen.

Having to rely on Anderson and Fletcher won’t see the Premier league title return to the Old Trafford trophy room. And with Tom Cleverley plagued by injuries as well, United look pretty thin on the ground.

    Step forward Nicolas Gaitan.

He has been exceptional against United twice this season, most recently at Old Trafford in Benfica’s 2-2 draw. The 23 year old would set United back an extortionate amount around the £40 million margin which is big money for an untried Premier league player? He would provide some creativity in the midfield and United have plenty of grafting players as well.

Gaitan would join the whole host of smaller midfielders which are in my opinion some of the best. The likes of David Silva and Jack Wilshire spring to mind. Gaitan has been reserved on the speculation but all I would say is...watch this space.
