I'm a Sunderland fan and so far, I've been left disappointed by O'Shea. Maybe he's carrying a knock or maybe his heart isn't in it, but his performances have been very poor. Shockling poor in fact. He looks slow, lacks composure on the ball, won't commit going forward and backs out of challenges. Wes Brown on the other hand has been phenomenal!

I'm also a Sunderland fan. I was pleased with the signing of John O'Shea and still am. I remember watching him play for a young Man U side in a League Cup game at the SOL more than ten years ago. I thought he had the makings of a very good player and the years have not proved me wrong.
So far at Sunderland he has struggled for fitness which I'm sure has impacted on his performances.Maybe he needs some recuperation time but I'm sure he'll become a fan's favourite when he gets back to full form.
I agree with the previous post - Wes Brown has been a great signing for us.

As a Utd fan I was actually glad to see O'Shea leave. But after a few months of terrible agony dished out by a dud aka Evans I kind of think O'Shea was a good player! Will take O'Shea or even W Brown anytime above that sad pretender of a defender called Evans.
