Replacing Vidic & Ferdinand Could Cost £60m, Says Ex Manchester United Defender - Why He Is Correct

Dion Dublin is a man who is greatly respected at Manchester United. The defender-turned-pundit may have only played at Old Trafford for two years, but he was part of the squad that won the Premier League in the 1992/93 season. Having racked up 743 professional appearances for numerous clubs, including Aston Villa, Celtic and Norwich, it would be natural to trust his judgement. And in his opinion, Manchester United will have to spend between £50-60 million to replace the departing centre-back pairing of Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic. He's right, too, in my opinion.

Former Liverpool Captain Says Arsenal Need A Different Type Of Midfielder To Compete For Title - Why He's Correct

Arsene Wenger had Arsenal pumped this season. After splashing out on Mesut Ozil, the Gunners went onto lead the Premier League for some time and were playing well in Europe. Then, in typical Arsenal style, everything fell flat and they were left to fight for fourth spot, which they eventually sealed. They are in the FA Cup semi-final, though. Graeme Souness, who is a Liverpool legend, has said that to compete next season they need a 'different' type of midfielder.

Liverpool Legend Slams Reds' Defence - THREE Centre-Backs That Rodgers Should Be Moving For

Liverpool icon Graeme Souness believes that the reason Liverpool failed to win the Premier League is staring them in the face, and most of us would agree. Although the Reds scored 101 goals this season in the league, they also conceded 50, which 23 more than Chelsea, and 13 more than eventual winners Manchester City. Souness says that the defence is the obvious weak link, so here are three defenders who Liverpool should move for to beef up their backline.

Raheem Sterling Excited For Champions League, But he Must Step It Up A Notch Next Season

Raheem Sterling was touted with a move to the Championship before the season started in order to give the winger some experience in a competitive league. This didn't happen, though, and Brendan Rodgers will be extremely pleased with the risk he took implementing him as one of the main Liverpool attacking options in the first team. The 19-year-old rewarded him with nine goals and five assists in his 34 Premier League games, helping the Reds finish second, and has expressed his excitement to play in the Champions League next season.

3 Reasons Why Chelsea Should Forget About £32m Costa And Concentrate On Lukaku

With news coming in that Chelsea have agreed a £32 million deal with Atletico Madrid for the services of Diego Costa, Romelu Lukaku must be left wondering what he has to do to get in the squad. The Belgian international has spent the last two seasons on loan, so here are three reasons why I think Chelsea should forget about the former and concentrate on the latter.

Wenger Is Wrong: Arsenal Boss Tells Ozil To Improve His Body Language, But I Say Leave Him Alone

Mesut Ozil couldn't have envisaged the backlash he received after hitting a hard patch in his debut season at Arsenal. Sure, the record breaking transfer fee brought expectations, but for me he met those in his early days at the club. Now, it seems as though Arsene Wenger has told him to improve his body language, but I think he is wrong to pick holes in his game.

Mourinho Reveals Transfer Plans: Why Chelsea Boss Is Correct Not To Make Drastic Changes At Stamford Bridge

Chelsea finished this season without any silverware, despite the return of Jose Mourinho. Although they were able to reach the Champions League semi-finals and finished third in the Premier League, the board cannot be too pleased with the lack of trophies. The Portuguese manager is staying calm, though, and has revealed that there will be no radical overhaul at Stamford Bridge this summer, but he does need a few fresh faces in the squad.

Ferdinand Will Leave Manchester United, But Red Devils Already Have A Replacement - Why Hummels Is Perfect

Rio Ferdinand will not be a Manchester United player next season, after he confirmed that he will let his contract expire and move elsewhere. It has caused mixed feelings at Old Trafford, but I for one am pleased that the club have let him go. Mainly because it looks as though they have already lined up a replacement in the shape of Mats Hummels, who is far superior to the rapidly-aging Ferdinand.

Bundesliga Star Will NOT Be Playing For Arsenal Next Season: Why It Is A Huge Blow For Gunners

Arsenal aren't a club for splashing the cash, usually, but that didn't stop them breaking their transfer record to land Mesut Ozil last year. They were supposedly ready to spend a large chunk of money of Schalke playmaker Julian Draxler, but the young Germany international has ruled out a move to the Emirates, which should be considered as a massive blow to the Gunners. Here's why.
