What Can Liverpool Expect From Their New Forward Signing? The Statistics

Liverpool have had a busy summer, recruiting a wealth of quality to really push on with Brendan Rodgers' philosophy of silky football. The Reds have currently won three out of three - which have all weirdly been 1-0 with Daniel Sturridge scoring the goal - but yesterday the Irishman snapped up Chelsea's Victor Moses on loan for the rest of the season. We've had a dig into the Nigerian's statistics from last year to share with you.

The 22-year-old made 23 appearances last season for the blues, although only four of those were the full 90 minutes. He scored just one goal in that time, away at Swansea back in November, but created 22 chances - including one assist.

He won 50% of his duels, which is made up of 17/22 of his tackles being completed and other battles on the fields, and he racked up an impressive 82% pass completion.

He hit the target with just 30% of his shots and made one defensive action per game, on average.

Of course statistics don't tell the whole story, as he never got a real run in the team at Stamford Bridge. He offers pace, power and an eye for a pass, and a chance at Liverpool may rekindle the sort of performances that he produced at Wigan.

We've loaned the wrong one in Moses, if he was any good he would have been playing. Everton got the better loan deal getting Lukaku.
