    Luis Suarez is a disgrace

Is there a more repugnant character in world football than Luis Suarez?

I have found him particularly hard to stomach ever since he stopped a shot on the line by handling the ball during a World Cup quarter-final against Ghana. Then, to make matters worse, after being sent off he cheered ecstatically as Asamoah Gyan missed the ensuing penalty.

Now he has found another way to turn scores more fans against him. His blatant handball against Mansfield Town in the third round of the FA Cup as he scored the goal that ultimately knocked the Blue Square Bet Premier side out.

I am not sure that there is a decent bone in this man's body. Cheating against sides that are of an equal stature is bad enough, but to cheat against a non-league side is totally disgraceful.

In many of these occasions he doesn't just disgrace himself but he disgraces his managers and colleagues as well, as they choose to stand by him. Why did Kenny Dalglish and the rest of the Liverpool players think it wise to stand by someone who had been banned for using racist language? Why is Brendan Rodgers now choosing to stand by him saying "it's not his job to own up."

I firmly believe that this level of continual amoral behaviour in football is what is rotting the core of the game. Yes, the officials should have spotted it but there is a greater responsibility that falls on the shoulders of the individual involved. He could have stopped, he could have admitted he was cheating but instead he put the ball in the net.

Nothing in football will change until the footballers change themselves.

The article is a joke but its a free world. However the author is blind to the fact that Suarez did not ask for the goal and that Suarez kicked the ball in frustration and he did not celebrate the goal. Your eyes opened yet? The goal was given by the referee and even the fourth official knew it was a handball and yet the referee gave it. Did any LFC players surround the ref demanding for the goal? None! Blind reporter!
Talking about fairness and being non racist, why don't you write an article condemning SAF for making negative remarks on match officials? Is it because SAF can kick your butt but LS cannot?
Even an idiot would know the difference between a disgraceful act and a decision that rest solely on the referee alone.
It really is a thin line between responsible reporting and blatant ignorance of facts.

When his Goal was not Given in the Merseyside Derby , nobody told anything.
But now when he used his Hand for Scoring (which was an accident) everyone is Angry and Pouncing on him.. Why ?
The Whole World is behind Suarez.
When Messi did it , its "OK" .
When Maradona did it , "HAND OF GOD"
and now when it came to Suarez , "Cheating".

All the three examples are Exactly same , but the only example in which a Player is being called is a Cheater is the Third example, The Luis Suarez one.

Those who wrote this article , Plz grow up...

Peter Stickney, you are a sad excuse for a journalist. Is this the first time you're watching football? You owe Suarez an apology, repugnant ass...

this writer should try something better other than writng because he is so bad about it...and for his info Gyan missed the penalty not Ayew you jerk

Brilliant with his feet and not bad with his hands either - MAGNIFICO

What a load of racist rubbish. Terry Smith is right, but I do not even think it is a colour issue. It is the fact that Suarez is foreign, and a South American to boot, as was the other son of Satan, Maradonna, makes it acceptable though.

I suggest the author would have a different viewpoint if he had Suarez in his team. Which he hasn't, so tough.

So you hate Suarez after the Ghana insident, you must really hate Gary Lineker then after his blatant dive against Cameroon in quarter final wcup 1990.

Bandwagon idiot 'journalism'.. Cant find your article on Peter Crouch being a disgrace for his DELIBERATE handball... fool.

    Dear Peter

I hope this is your last venture into "journalism" cos all i read was blah blah blah

stop your "blogging" and get back to the bricklaying

The author does not have the right sense of Football. He doe not like Luis, that is why he writes these types of Articles.
He is a genuine racist while writing such things on Luis. If you are someone who loves football, you will never write these types of article on a player. Every player would have done the same thing. Even Van Persie would have done it.
The Media should banned these type of author for writing these type of articles.
